RXO Fraud Prevention

As the industry continues to press forward with digitalization, scammers are finding new, clever ways to try and access information. This includes phishing attempts through email, phone and text messaging where scammers will impersonate providers to access confidential information from shippers and carriers alike.

The best way to avoid these scams is to confidently identify and report them.

To help our network verify communications are authentic, here are a few ways to identify scammers posing as either RXO or Coyote Logistics:

  • RXO or Coyote Logistics will never ask for your password on any of our platforms or communications channels- including RXO Connect™ or RXO Drive®, CoyoteGO, rxo.com, or through any emails, phone calls or text messages.
  • We will never ask for payment upfront in order to access our load boards for freight hauling opportunities, or ask for your banking information or updates via email.
  • We will never ask for payments via digital payment systems such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, etc.
  • RXO only sends emails through our secure platforms or directly from your respective RXO Representatives. All of our email communications will come from an rxo.com email address, or in certain cases, coyotenotifications.com that are system-generated from CoyoteGO.
  • Emails that may appear to be from RXO or Coyote that come from different domains are likely spam or phishing attempts that should be reported.

RXO and Coyote Logistics have many 3rd party partners that support our carriers. You may receive communications from those partners at times. Similarly, you should never be asked for payments or banking information, or for your password. You should contact your RXO or Coyote rep if you receive any suspicious looking communication from any unfamiliar companies claiming to be working on behalf of RXO or Coyote Logistics.

RXO’s Fraud Prevention measures

RXO has developed many safeguards when it comes to protecting our carriers and shippers personal information as well as their freight. Through our tools, we have implemented many tactics to ensure our proactive responses:

  • IP Address Tracking
  • “impossible Time Travel” monitoring
  • Fraud trackers in real time
  • Rate confirmation email controls and required tracking
  • MFA verification to load boards

Notice on Common Phishing Attacks

Two common phishing attacks are attempts to secure passwords and banking information.

Please note:

  • RXO will never update our banking information for payments via email. If you receive an email regarding a change to our banking information, it is fraudulent and should be reported as phishing.
  • RXO reps and employees will not request your password for any of our digital freight platforms via email. That includes RXO Connect™ and RXO Drive™ CoyoteGO® for Shippers, CoyoteGO for Carriers or CoyoteGO Premium. If you receive an email that requests your password, it should be reported.

Best Practices for Identifying & Reporting Phishing Attacks
